My focus is on a central question: how real systems function under real-world conditions — and how communication between institutions and individuals can be structured in a way that increases clarity, trust, and accountability.
I am the creator of the Masterwhistle communication channel, a framework designed to enable structured, two-way communication between citizens and public authorities. Its purpose is to reduce informational ambiguity, improve responsiveness, and strengthen accountability in institutional communication flows.
Together with the Flash Accurate expert group, I have contributed to the development of one of Finland’s first independent approaches to assessing and reporting rule of law performance beyond formal institutional descriptions.
I am also the author of two books examining how public systems behave in practice — where incentives, execution, and human decision-making often diverge from system design.
I am originally from Finland, and I bring a systems-oriented perspective shaped by long-term observation of the gap between designed services and lived user experience. I live with my wife, our young son, and our three cats.
Across my work, I have collaborated with professionals in governance, analysis, and cross-sector system development. This has shaped a practical, execution-focused approach grounded in societal responsibility: understanding structural problems and contributing directly to solutions that improve how systems serve people.
